Dukkah

You can use any mix of nuts for dukkah - pine nuts, cashews, pistachio, walnuts.  Dukkah is wonderful on top of salads, soups, homemade crackers and breads, hummus and dips, open sandwiches - you name it!

Dukkah

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup hazelnuts, toasted
1/2 cup almonds, toasted
1 tablespoon coriander seeds, toasted
1 tablespoon cumin seeds, toasted
2 tablespoons white sesame seeds, toasted
1 1/2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon sea salt flakes

DIRECTIONS

Place all the nuts in a food processor and pulse until they are a mix of small and large chunks. Place the coriander and cumin seeds in a mortar and pestle (or spice grinder) and pound until they are roughly ground (not a powder).  Add all ingredients into a jar and mix well. Taste for salt level.  Store in an air-tight jar for around one month.  Makes around 350ml.
